FABO Scan — Privacy Policy

FABO Scan ("the app") is a staff tool used by FABO Laundry & Dry Cleaning franchise stores to track garments through the in‑store processing workflow. This policy explains what the app collects and why. The app is intended for use by authorised store staff only; it is not a consumer application.

Information we collect

• Camera — the camera is used to (a) scan worker, station and garment barcodes/QR codes, and (b) capture optional inspection photos of a garment. Inspection photos you choose to take are uploaded to FABO's servers and linked to the relevant order and garment. The app does not record video or use the camera in the background.
• Worker identity — the name and internal ID of the staff member, obtained when they scan a worker badge issued by their store. This is used to attribute scans to the person who performed them.
• Operational data — order numbers, garment scan events, processing station, and timestamps generated as garments move through the workflow.
• Technical data — standard information needed to communicate securely with FABO's servers (e.g. network requests, an app session token stored on the device).

How we use it

Collected data is used solely to operate the garment‑processing workflow — recording each garment's progress, attributing work to staff, and showing order status to store managers. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Sharing

Data is sent only to FABO's own servers (the FABO franchise portal) over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and is accessible to authorised franchise staff and administrators. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Permissions

• Camera — barcode/QR scanning and optional inspection photos.
• Internet — to send scans and photos to the FABO portal.
• Vibrate — haptic feedback to confirm a successful scan.

Data retention

Operational records and photos are retained on FABO's servers for as long as needed to run and account for store operations, and may be removed on request to the contact below.

Children

FABO Scan is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 13.
